DESCRIPTION
We were asked to translate artist Mary Stengle Bentley’s original drawing into a wrap for a prominent lobby column in this development. Based on the other finishes and nature of the artwork, we thought this would work well as a custom tile installation. This project not only represents a true collaborative effort amongst multiple experts in their fields, but it also shows the impact of *investing* holistically in what we like to call “Good D(esign)”. This particular Good D involved the artist’s artwork/concept, the designer’s material solution, the engineer’s refinement, the fabricator’s craft and the installer’s execution. Here is a bit more about the collaborators on this project.
