DESCRIPTION:
Collaboration was at the heart of multiple projects we did for Sean Brock's Audrey. We designed signage for the restaurant as well as pie safe inspired bar cabinet fronts, all of which were masterfully crafted by Fortify Nashville using materials that recur throughout the complex: raw brass, red oak, and blackened steel. The interplay of Japanese decorative restraint and southern rusticity was our guiding principle in translating Brock's and designer Katie Vance's vision of an extrasensory and quietly luxurious experience of southern food. Our pièce de résistance is a one of a kind firefly wallcovering that we designed and produced using LED technology with the ever brilliant Hazelwood Labs. As with all of our work, an experimental point of view, carefully chosen reference points, and attention to craft were essential to making these ideas come to life.
